The Regional Select program was created to highlight the unique profiles that are inherent to various microclimates in many coffee producing countries. Local variables like wind patterns, soil quality, sunlight, elevation, and other environmental influencers have much to do with the creating common cup qualities within sub-regions of these countries.

This coffee is sourced based on cup quality and character, seeking a balance of “taste of place” with availability and price. These lots are built as blends and come with regional and often microregional traceability, but are not farm or producer-specific.

This lot was produced by 8 smallholder farmers in the municAipality of Ibague in Tolima. Typically, the coffee is picked ripe when it is bright red, and depulped the same day. It's fermented dry for 22 hours plus or minus, then washed and dried, often in parabolic driers, for about 7–10 days.
